Car Crashes Into Building In Summit: Authorities
A car crashed into a townhouse in Summit on the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 25, authorities said. Firefighters and police responded to the scene at Norwood Avenue at 9:43 a.m., a spokesperson for the City of Summit said in a release. Upon arrival, crews discovered that a resident’s vehicle had crashed through an internal wall in the garage, causing mild structural damage, authorities said. A white powder in a suspicious envelope that brought a Hazmat team to a Bergen County administrative building in Hackensack turned out to be rather innocuous after all. Firefighters Clear Rollover Crash In Ridgefield
Firefighters in Ridgefield cleared the scene of a rollover crash Wednesday morning, Sept. 4. The two-vehicle crash happened just before 10:15 a.m. at Broad and Maple avenues, firefighters said. Driver Airlifted After Crashing SUV Into New Egypt Home On Labor Day, Police Say
A driver was airlifted after crashing into a home in New Egypt on Labor Day, authorities said. Plumsted police, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the crash at the intersection of Brindletown Road and Front Street early in the evening on Monday, Sept. 2, the township said in a Facebook post. The driver was the only person in the SUV and was taken by helicopter to a hospital. No one was in the home during the crash. Crews worked to make the house structurally sound and "delicately" removed the SUV.
